Life Coaching

to freedom from

From personal experience, Life Coach Chris Dudley understands mental health challenges and can identify with the following…

  • irritable, aggressive, impatient, wound up
  • over-burdened
  • nervous, afraid
  • unable to enjoy yourself
  • uninterested in life
  • lost your sense of humour
  • a sense of dread
  • neglected
  • lonely
  • hard to make decisions
  • avoiding situations
  • unable to concentrate
  • habitual or addicted
  • tearful and fearful of crying
  • restless
  • tired but can’t sleep

  • tense, nervous, on edge
  • feeling sick
  • muscular pain and headaches
  • pins and needles
  • light headed and dizzy
  • sweating and hot flushes
  • fast and thumping heartbeat
  • raised blood pressure
  • can’t sleep
  • churning stomach
  • panic attacks
  • fearing the worse
  • the world is too slow or too fast
  • busy mind
  • negative thoughts
  • feeling numb

  • down, upset, tearful
  • restless, agitated, irritable
  • guilty, worthless
  • empty, numb
  • isolated and unable to relate to others
  • finding no pleasure in life
  • a sense of unreality
  • no or low confidence
  • no or low self-esteem
  • hopeless and despairing
  • avoiding social events and activities
  • difficult to speak
  • lack of focus and concentration
  • sleeping too much, too little, tired
  • physical aches and pains
  • increased negative habits

Being ‘successfully depressed’ presents additional challenges:

  • increased pressure of creating a sustainable and successful business
  • lack of stability and almost constant curveballs
  • lonely and isolated from others who don’t experience your challenges
  • the incessant thought that you should’ve settled for a ‘normal’ career
  • increased visibility to others when we’d prefer not to be seen for fear of being found out
  • family and friends who don’t understand the challenges of running a business, much less your mental health
  • being surrounded by more successful people, who appear to have their shit together

My clients are often driven by perfection and pleasing people:

  • setting high standards for yourself and others, which are often unobtainable, leaving you dissatisfied with your own work
  • constant pressure to get things right first time, often leading to procrastination
  • wanting to do things yourself and an inability to delegate to others
  • find yourself being picky of others work and yet you find it hard to be criticised yourself
  • constantly aware of others moods and keen not to negatively impact people, even if it means selling yourself short
  • avoid conflict and when it arises you struggle to manage it
  • difficult to form and maintain authentic relationships or friendships

Studies suggest 30% of entrepreneurs identify as having experienced depression and a further 27% identify as experiencing anxiety.

That’s marginally higher than the average 1 in 4 adults in the UK who experience a mental health problem each year. I believe we achieve what we achieve not in spite of but because of these mental health challenges, which are often the fuel for building our success. Yet when we arrive and often surpass our goals we are left feeling empty and exhausted by the battle against ourselves which it took to get us here. The work you’ve put in was meant to make you feel happier and it hasn’t.

If you’re suffering, then this message is just for you…

If you ignore it, it just gets worse.

What most people do when faced with stress, anxiety or depression is wait until it gets so bad they can’t see a way out, they take medication to alleviate the symptoms, or they wait for treatment to discuss the past and how they got here. And for most people, none of that works.

  • You alleviate the symptoms and not the cause
  • You’re managing side effects when you should be managing your recovery
  • Waiting delays your progress and creates more bad coping habits
  • You are focusing on the past when your life is in the future
  • You are not learning new tools and techniques for dealing with future challenges

At last, there’s some good news, I found a solution. I recognise this isn’t going to be easy, but it isn’t impossible.

I discovered life coaching having experienced stress, anxiety, and depression in my teenage years and throughout my twenties, having tried all the usual routes to deal with these challenges.

I had build and was maintaining a successful career in finance, gaining recognition, promotions, and rewards, and I was a high valued and respected member of the leadership team. At the same time, I was studying for multiple HR, Training and Coaching qualifications.

Behind closed doors, I was on anti-depressants, and more medication to take the edge off my OCD. I had a series of counselling sessions and now understood why I was unhappy.

The problem was… I still felt depressed and I was still living in the sterile environment I’d built for myself, and no-one could tell me how to beat it. I knew there had to be another way to overcome my challenges and that’s when I discovered life coaching.

I have a unique perspective on mental health, understanding it from the inside out, and creating the following results with clients.

  • Ability to see the future clearly and have a plan of action on how to achieve this, living and working proactively and productively
  • Letting go of the negative emotions and events from the past, and breaking free from the beliefs you have about yourself which hold you back
  • Engaging with people and the World around them and gaining a new-found resilience to handle change as and when it happens
  • Increased confidence and self-esteem
  • Identification of values and a plan to build a life and business around these, achieving authenticity
  • Find their why, designing and committing to their mission and purpose
  • Commitment to a life without stress, anxiety and depression

With over 1000 hours of face-to-face paid coaching, I support you to break free from your challenges and achieve the life you desire and deserve.

Since working with Chris, I can honestly say I am a different person. My confidence has soared and my life has definitely changed for the better.

Meeting Chris was the best thing that could have happened to me. My life was at a real low. Chris rescued me and worked with me to reach this positive aspect of my life, and focus on the goals ahead in a much more confident approach.

I cannot recommend Chris enough for anyone considering having life coaching.

Working with Chris was enlightening, motivational and my favourite time of the week.
